immersion is a very effective way to learn a language. Do you have friends that speak spanish fluently that can converse with you? Speaking the language with other people, listening to the music and reading the spanish newspaper is also helpful.

Many people have trouble learning different languages, especially when the only other language they know is english. To be successful with this, you should definitely know vocabulary. know them so they are second nature, if you do this, all the grammar will seem a little bit easier. vocabulary is probably the most important part, actually. when translating grammar stuff, think of what you want to say, then you must take the technique you learned from you teacher and apply it. practice, practice, practice. the more you do it, the more you’ll understand it and get the feel of how the spanish language works. if you’re really determined to know how to speak it, then say it out loud a lot. yes, you will have to say it slowly and think a lot, but with saying it you will also hear it, so really your able to remember twice as well.

A lot of people have trouble learning a different language, which is perfectly normal. I myself had trouble learning Russian, and it took me nearly 3 years until I figured out a study method that helped me remember everything.

If you’re more visual (you like to look at things to remember them), you should try using flashcards. Right down the words, sentences, phrases, etc. you have to learn in Spanish on one side, and on the other have it translated into English. Look at them before quizzes, tests, etc. and everyday after you get back from school for about 10 minutes, instead of cramming in everything right before a test. Gradually remembering things will help more than just studying the night before.

If you learn through repetition, then you should try writing the phrases over and over again in Spanish, while saying them in English. Eventually you’ll begin finding similarities to the English and Spanish! You should do this 10 minutes every night, because, like using the flashcards, it’s better to remember things gradually then trying to cram in everything overnight.

Another method that I found paticularly helpful trying to learn Russian is studying with other people that take it. It sounds really stupid to have a ’study group’ but if you guys all put your mind to learning the language and help each other out, you’ll learn a lot!

I hope this information helped you!

Try finding a person in your school who speaks fluent Spanish (preferably 1 who had Spanish as a primary language), and ask them to help.
